Elements of Art: Line, Shape, Color,Texture and Pattern; 2-D and 3-D materials and techniques: painting, print- making, drawing, sculpture, collage, traditional crafts; DRAMA AND MUSIC: These subjects are taught collaboratively to reinforce common skills and objectives. Emphasis on cooperation and communication through language and creative movement; integrated lessons include storytelling, pretend play, improvised dialogue, singing, listening, and instrument playing; use of graphic visual notation and tactile manipulatives for early reading and representation of music; vocal and instrumental improvisation and composition.

WELLNESS
The World of Wellness curriculum includes several strands of health education including; safety; nutrition; social-emotional learning; and mindfulness.
Listening and communication skills; oral language development; letter identification; letter sound association and discrimination; beginning, middle, and ending sounds in words; rhyming; counting syllables; inventive spelling; sight words; written expression; handwriting skills; left to right sequencing; parts of a story; using the library and respecting books; individual and group reading instruction.
MATHEMATICS
Follow multi-step directions, identify numbers to 100, count by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s, explore place value, form numbers, create and extend patterns, collect data, construct and interpret graphs, use standard and non-standard units of measurement, explore 2-D and 3-D shapes, understand the concepts of one or two more or less, explore the concepts of sums and differences, combine and compare amounts, solve story problems, incorporate manipulatives into problem-solving activities, practice explaining mathematical thinking.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Demonstrate age-appropriate locomotor skills: walk, run, hop, skip, jump, slide, leap. Demonstrate age-appropriate manipulative skills: throw, catch, kick, dribble, strike. Understand spatial and body awareness. Actively participate in all the activities. Show cooperation with peers. Listen to directions and follow through. Understand that physical activity provides the opportunity for enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction.
SCIENCE/DESIGN
A study of endangered animals and their habitats across all continents. The life cycle of plants and insects in relation to continent studies and weekly STEAM lab.
SOCIAL STUDIESA tour of the continents exploring animals, culture, geographical features, food, and language of select countries. Focus countries vary based on the experiences and backgrounds of current students.
TECHNOLOGY
Exposure to variety of software and online resources in a dedicated classroom setting to reinforce language arts, math, science, and social studies curriculum, while using educational apps with the 1-to-1 iPad program.
WORLD LANGUAGES
Exposure to French through a range of materials and activities: familiar vocabulary learned through songs, storytelling, videos, games, hand motions, and dance; development of listening and speaking skills. Introduction to Francophone cultures; review and expand the vocabulary through new themes; develop appropriate pronunciation.
