Bob Annese Day

On December 14, 2017, the Brimmer community celebrated “Bob Annese Day” in honor of Bob’s retirement after 35 years at Brimmer. The day started with coffee and donuts, where community members had a chance to drop in and chat with Bob on his last day at Brimmer. Parents, students, and colleagues filled the Dining Commons to share their well wishes with Bob. He then stopped by to visit with each Lower School grade, where students surprised him with heartfelt goodbyes, many of which paid homage to Bob’s love of fishing and poetry. Middle and Upper School students honored Bob during their lunch periods, and the day concluded with a formal ceremony to thank Bob for all he has done for Brimmer over the course of his career. R. Lisle Baker, President Emeritus of Newton City Council, presented Bob with a proclamation in Honor and Recognition of Bob's Distinguished Service for years as Maintenance Supervisor at Brimmer and May School on behalf of the city of Newton.
