Grade 7 Exhibition

Humanities Family Short Story Project Exhibition and STEAM Robotics Exhibition

For their culminating project, students in 7th grade English created a piece of historical fiction that chronicles a moment in a relative's life. Through interviews, outlining, research, reading, and lessons on various parts of a creative writing story, students wrote and presented stories about their chosen subjects.

Engineering, design, and programming has been the focus of a collaborative unit in the science and math curricula. Students moved from simple linear programming to incorporating loops and switch blocks to perform tasks, such as creating autonomous vehicles that roam the classroom. In the final project, students used LEGO Mindstorms materials to create a robot that could meet the challenges chosen by their group. The exhibition showcased each team's final robot design.
