Gators battle tough in rough conditions

The varsity boys soccer team took a tough 1 - 0 loss battling against tough weather conditions and a solid Boston University Academy team under the lights at Nickerson Field. The Gators were a bit sluggish to start the game and found reading the bounce of the ball off the wet turf with the swirling winds to be a challenge. BUA had the better of the play in the first 15 minutes and scored the only goal of the game at the end of that period of play; the slippery conditions certainly contributed to the goal. Finding themselves down a goal, the Gators moved into a higher gear and looked like they had equalized five minutes later. Unfortunately, the assistant referee called the goal back for an offside violation.  The second half, was dominated by Brimmer, but the lads just could not find the breakthrough they needed to take a point from the game.
