Gator Wins Second Crown Award

Congratulations to The Gator staff for winning their second consecutive Crown Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. This Crown honors work done over the last academic year, and is easily the most challenging in newsroom history.

Gator Adviser David Cutler '02 says, "Along with the Pacemaker from the Nationals Scholastic Press Association (which I hope The Gator also wins), a Crown is the most prestigious accolade for overall newsroom excellence. From across America, our students competed against hundreds of schools of all types and sizes. In March, The Gator will learn whether it earned a Gold or Silver Crown (but both are incredibly prestigious). The newsroom won Gold last year. In a partial review of last year's work, I want to give a special shoutout to Josh Neudel, easily the most frequently quoted source over the 2020-2021 academic year. Josh has been a steadfast supporter of student voice and The Gator."
