  Len's experiences in teaching 9th grade math, managing a team of engineers, and volunteering in his community have instilled in him a strong commitment to developing our future generation. He is a problem solver and enjoys guiding others in untangling knots to achieve a solution. He typically starts class with an introduction to exploration. If he sets the stage properly, this leads to better results throughout the class period. Len believes that students learn best by doing, and a lot of his class time is spent doing individual and group work.

   

  Len is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy where he studied aeronautical engineering. At MIT he earned a masters in aerospace engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 7.5 years and worked at Draper as an engineer for over 10 years. He taught math at the Newton North High School during the 2021-2022 school year.

   

  Len grew up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and once completed the dirty dozen bike ride which climbs 13 of the steepest hills in the city. He enjoys riding his bike just about everywhere.
